Clay Kirkland, COO
As integrator and chief operating officer at GSC, Clay is responsible for the operational success and internal organizational health of the practice. He brings more than 20 years of managerial experience to GSC. His experience and leadership have been focused on developing and delivering systems of operational excellence, providing outstanding client service, and driving employee engagement and satisfaction.
Prior to joining GSC, Clay has been a coach, consultant, and director. He has consulted with over one hundred companies over the course of 14 years, enabling them to increase sales, formulate strategy, generate solutions, and create a robust company culture. He also was the chief architect and leader of a young adult internship program that saw over 750 participants over his 19-year span as the director.
Clay holds degrees from University of Georgia and Asbury Theological, as well as holding certifications from Gallup and MHS. He and his wife reside near Athens, GA, with their six children.
Nadine Phelan, CFO
Nadine Phelan serves as the Chief Financial Officer of GSC. She is responsible for all the company’s financial functions including billing, accounting, insurance, and audit. She also serves the vital role of managing staff and coordinating the daily operations.
Prior to joining GSC, Nadine worked as Practice Administrator in the fields of Pain Management, Hematology/Oncology, and Ophthalmology. Her vast experience in medical practice administration is critical to the financial role she currently serves with GSC. Nadine holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida and has an accomplished career in medical practice administration that spans over 18 years.
Nadine resides in Jefferson, GA with her husband and two children.
Richard L. McKinney, New Business Development
Rick McKinney joined Georgia Skin Cancer & Aesthetic Dermatology in August 2011 and served as Administrator for nearly a decade. He is originally from Augusta, Georgia, and has 23 years of previous medical management experience. He graduated with a BBA in Management from Georgia Southern University and received his MBA from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia.
Currently, he is moving toward retirement but has transitioned into a critical role of New Business Development for GSC. This current role provides Rick with the opportunity to utilize his robust knowledge of dermatology practice management along with his connections throughout Georgia in order to prepare GSC for continued success in the future.
