Christina Burr, PA-C

Christina Burr is an NCCPA certified physician assistant and a member of both the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. A native of Wisconsin, she received her Master of Physician Assistant studies from De Sales University in Center Valley, Pennsylvania in 2004. A well-rounded physician assistant, her work experience includes dermatology, women's health and rheumatology. Christina joined Dr. Campbell and Jonathan Nix at Georgia Skin Cancer & Aesthetic Dermatology in 2010 to help care for new and established patients in our Athens, Madison and Lake Oconee offices. In addition to assisting patients with any general dermatology needs, Christina is also trained to assist with Mohs surgery and is certified to offer patients a variety of cosmetic laser procedures.

Christina and her husband Phil moved to Madison, GA in 2010 to be closer to Christina's parents and are thoroughly enjoying the warmer weather. Phil is also a certified physician assistant and works in orthopedics. They enjoy anything outdoors including hiking, boating, fishing and scuba diving.

Jonathan Nix, PA-C

Jonathan Nix is an NCCPA certified physician assistant who has been with Georgia Skin Cancer & Aesthetic Dermatology since 2008. He is native of Georgia and received his degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 2000. His prior work experience included Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine. He is trained to assist in Mohs surgery, provide general dermatology needs, as well as perform laser treatments.

Jonathan and his wife Chastity have two daughters and reside in Gainesville, Georgia where they enjoy being on the lake, biking and community activities.

Richard L. McKinney, Administrator

Richard joined Georgia Skin Cancer & Aesthetic Dermatology in August 2011. He is originally from Augusta, Georgia and has 18 years of previous medical management experience. He graduated with a BBA in Management from Georgia Southern University and received his MBA from the Terry College of Business at The University of Georgia. He enjoyed the Athens area when he was in graduate school at UGA and he and his wife are excited to come back to the area.
