Mohs Consultation

You will be scheduled for a consultation with the Mohs surgeon on the day of your surgery. We ask that you complete a brief form about your past medical history. The consultation ensures that you understand why you have been referred for the procedure, what treatment options are available, and what you can expect after the surgery. Consultation also double-checks that you are medically prepared for the procedure.

Checklist for Consultation

• Bring a list of all of your present medications.
• Bring any photographs or drawings that you have or may have been given to you by your referring physician. These will assist us in locating the tumor site. Be sure you know where the biopsy was taken.
• We recommend having a friend accompany you to the consultation to help with answering questions, remembering instructions, and locating the tumor site.
